DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ----------------------
At 1000 AM CHST...0000 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 01W was located near Latitude 5.2 degrees North and Longitude 174.1 degrees East. Tropical Depression 01W was moving north-northwest at 7 mph. It is expected to make a turn toward the west-northwest Monday with little change in forward speed. This current track would send 01W north of Kosrae Wednesday and just north of Pohnpei Thursday.
Maximum sustained winds remain at 30 mph. Tropical Depression 01W is expected to slowly intensify the next couple of days, possibly becoming a tropical storm Monday.

The next scheduled advisory will be issued by the National Weather Service at 200 PM followed by an intermediate advisory at 500 PM.
