DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 700 AM CHST...2100 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 01W was located near Latitude 4.7 degrees North and Longitude 174.1 degrees East. Tropical Depression 01W is moving north-northwest at 7 mph. It is expected to make a turn toward the west-northwest with little change in forward speed over the next 24 hours, then increase in speed over the next few days.
Maximum sustained winds remain at 30 mph. Little changes in strength is expected over the next couple of days, with some gradual intensification possible after that.
NEXT ADVISORY ------------- An intermediate advisory will be issued by the National Weather Service at 1100 AM this morning followed by the next scheduled advisory at 200 PM this afternoon.
