DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 800 PM CHST...1000 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 01W was relocated near Latitude 4.2 degrees North and Longitude 174.4 degrees East...moving northwest at 9 mph. 01W is expected to continue moving to the northwest tonight with a decrease in forward speed, then turn to the west-northwest Sunday and Monday. This track brings 01W near Majuro Monday morning.
Maximum sustained winds are 30 mph. 01W is forecast to intensify and may be a tropical storm by Monday.
NEXT ADVISORY ------------- An intermediate advisory will be issued by the National Weather Service at 11 PM this evening, followed by the next scheduled advisory at 2 AM.
