DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1000 PM CHST...1200 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 33W was located near Latitude 6.4 degrees North and Longitude 132.3 degrees East. 33W is moving west at 17 mph. It is expected to make a slight turn toward the west-northwest with a decrease in forward speed through Monday night. This track will bring 33W very close to Mindanao on Tuesday afternoon.
Maximum sustained winds remain at 30 mph. 33W is forecast to gradually intensify through Monday night, possibly becoming a tropical storm on Monday.
