CHANGES WITH THIS ADVISORY -------------------------- The Typhoon Watches for Tinian and Saipan have been upgraded to Typhoon Warnings.
The Tropical Storm Watch for Rota has been upgraded to a Tropical Storm Warning.
WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- Typhoon warnings are now in effect for Tinian and Saipan.
A tropical storm warning is now in effect for Rota.
A tropical storm watch remains in effect for Guam, Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan.
Typhoon conditions are expected Wednesday through Thursday morning at Tinian and Saipan.
Tropical storm conditions are expected for Rota Wednesday afternoon.
Tropical storm conditions are possible within the next 36 to 48 hours at Guam, Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan.

DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1000 AM CHST...0000 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Yutu was located near Latitude 11.5 degrees North and Longitude 151.6 degrees East. Yutu is moving west-northwest at 14 mph. It is expected to maintain a west-northwest to northwest motion through Thursday. This track will bring Yutu near or north of Saipan by early Thursday morning.
Maximum sustained winds remain at 70 mph. Yutu is forecast to intensify through tonight probably becoming a typhoon this afternoon.
Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 75 miles to the southwest, and 145 miles elsewhere.
NEXT ADVISORY ------------- The next scheduled advisory will be issued by the National Weather Service at 200 PM this afternoon followed by an intermediate advisory at 500 PM.
