DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm 30W was located near Latitude 12.9 degrees North and Longitude 141.4 degrees East. 30W is moving west at 24 mph. It is expected to make a slight turn toward the west-northwest with a decrease in forward speed over the next 24 hours.
Maximum sustained winds remain at 40 mph. 30W is forecast to intensify the next few days.
Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 80 miles to the north and up to 20 miles to the south.
