DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Typhoon Trami was located near Latitude 17.5 degrees North and Longitude 133.8 degrees East. Trami is moving west-northwest at 10 mph. It is expected to maintain this general course and speed through over the next 24 hours.
Maximum sustained winds have increased to 110 mph. Trami is forecast to intensify the next few days.
Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to 25 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 195 miles to the northeast and up to 155 miles elsewhere.
