DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 700 AM CHST...2100 UTC...the center of Typhoon Trami was located near Latitude 17.1 degrees North and Longitude 135.4 degrees East...moving west at 17 mph. Trami is expected to turn to a west- northwestward track through Monday with slowly decreasing forward speed.
Maximum sustained winds have increased to 75 mph, making Trami a typhoon. Trami is forecast to intensify steadily through Tuesday.
Typhoon force winds extend up to 25 miles from the center. Tropical storm force winds extend up to 190 miles northeast of the center and up to 80 miles to the southeast.
