DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Trami was located near Latitude 17.1 degrees North and Longitude 137.0 degrees East...moving west at 16 mph. Trami is expected to stay on a west- northwestward track through Monday with slowly decreasing forward speed.
Maximum sustained winds have increased to 65 mph. Trami is forecast to become a typhoon later this morning, then continue to intensify through Tuesday.
Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 190 miles to the northeast and 65 miles to the southeast.
