DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Trami was located near Latitude 15.8 degrees North and Longitude 142.0 degrees East...moving west-northwest at 12 mph. This general motion is expected to continue through Sunday with little change in forward speed.
Maximum sustained winds have increased to 45 mph. Trami is forecast to intensify steadily, and could be a typhoon as early as this evening.
Tropical storm force winds extend up to 150 miles northeast of the center, but only up to 60 miles to the southwest.
NEXT ADVISORY ------------- The next scheduled advisory will be issued by the National Weather Service at 800 AM this morning.
