DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1045 AM CHST...0045 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 28W was located by radar near Latitude 14.5 degrees North and Longitude 144.5 degrees East. 28W is moving north-northwest at 10 mph. It is expected to make a slight turn toward the northwest with an increase in forward speed over the next 24 hours.
Maximum sustained winds remain at 30 mph. 28W is forecast to intensify through the next few days, possibly becoming a tropical storm this evening.

The next scheduled advisory will be issued by the National Weather Service at 200 PM this afternoon, followed by an intermediate advisory at 500 PM.
