Changes with this advisory -------------------------- The tropical storm warning for Guam has been canceled.
Watches and warnings -------------------- The tropical storm warning for Guam and Guam Coastal Waters has been canceled. Tropical storm conditions are no longer expected.
A tropical storm warning remains in effect for Rota, Tinian, Saipan and adjacent coastal waters. Tropical storm conditions, including damaging winds of 39 mph or more, are still occurring.

Discussion and outlook ---------------------- At 100 PM CHST...0300 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Maria was located by Doppler radar to be near Latitude 14.2 North and Longitude 143.6 East. Tropical Storm Maria is moving northwest at 10 mph. It is expected to maintain this general direction with a decrease in forward speed over the next 24 hours.
Maximum sustained winds remain at 70 mph. Tropical Storm Maria is forecast to intensify over the next few days, possibly becoming a typhoon tonight or early Friday.
Tropical Storm force winds extend outward up to 140 miles north of the center and up to 100 miles south of the center.
Next advisory ------------- An Intermediate Advisory will be issued by the National Weather Service at 500 PM this afternoon followed by the next scheduled advisory at 800 PM.
