Discussion and outlook ---------------------- At 1030 PM CHST...1230 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 10W was located near Latitude 12.5 North and Longitude 145.2 East. Tropical Depression 10W is moving toward the northwest at 8 mph. It is expected to maintain the current direction but with a slight increase in forward speed over the next 24 hours. This forecast track brings 10W very close to the northern tip of Guam and the Rota channel Thursday morning.
Maximum sustained winds remain at 35 mph. Tropical Depression 10W is forecast to intensify through Thursday possibly becoming a tropical storm early Thursday morning.
Next advisory ------------- The next scheduled advisory will be issued by the National Weather Service at 200 AM early Thursday morning then followed by an intermediate advisory at 500 AM.
