Discussion and outlook ---------------------- At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 10W was located near Latitude 12.7 North and Longitude 145.9 East. Tropical Depression 10W is moving toward the north-northwest at 8 mph. It is expected to make a slight turn toward the northwest with a slight increase in forward speed over the next 24 hours. This forecast brings 10W through the Rota channel on Thursday.
Maximum sustained winds remain at 35 mph. Tropical Depression 10W is forecast to intensify through Thursday possibly becoming a tropical storm early on Thursday.
Next advisory ------------- An intermediate advisory will be issued by the National Weather Service at 1100 PM tonight followed by the next scheduled advisory at 200 AM early Thursday morning.
