Discussion and outlook ---------------------- At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression Jelawat was located near latitude 10.6 north and longitude 135.5 east. Jelawat is moving northeast at 7 mph. It is expected to track north with little change in forward speed today through Thursday, then turn northeast Thursday night and Friday.
Maximum sustained winds remain at 35 mph. Jelewat is forecast to slowly intensify, and may become a tropical storm later this morning.
