DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Sanba was located near Latitude 7.1 degrees North and Longitude 129.9 degrees East, moving west at 17 mph. Sanba is expected to turn to a west to west-northwest track with little change in forward speed until it makes landfall on the eastern coast of Mindanao Tuesday morning.
Maximum sustained winds remain at 40 mph. Only a slight increase in intensity is expected before Sanba hits land on Tuesday.
Tropical storm force winds are found only in Sanba's northern semicircle, extending outward up to 90 miles from the center.
