DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 100 PM CHST...0300 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Sanba was located near Latitude 7.2 degrees North and Longitude 131.5 degrees East, moving west at 13 mph. Sanba is expected to continue on a west to west-northwest track with little change in forward speed until it makes landfall on the eastern Mindanao coast Tuesday morning.
Maximum sustained wind remains at 40 mph. Only a slight increase in intensity is expected before Sanba hits land.
Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 80 miles northwest of the center, and up to 35 miles southeast of the center.
