DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 700 AM ChST...2100 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 33W was located near latitude 8.4 degrees North and longitude 130.5 degrees East. Tropical Depression 33W is moving west-northwest at 14 mph and is expected to turn to the west later today and continue westward through Sunday. Little change in forward speed is expected through Saturday.
Maximum sustained winds are 30 mph. Tropical Depression 33W is expected to slowly intensify the next couple of days, possibly becoming a tropical storm later today.
